Many of us turn to psychotherapy to work through anxiety, depression, or trauma, or because we want to establish, repair, or deepen our relationships with others. Sometimes we need support adjusting to life transitions, or we want to develop increased personal insight and self-awareness, especially when we notice patterns of behavior that we find difficult to resolve and that interfere with meeting our goals. We often seek therapy during times of crisis, when we’re feeling particularly vulnerable and raw, so it’s important that the therapeutic relationship feels supportive right away. I work hard to foster that relationship, so that even as you're gently challenged to face fears and break patterns, you feel as comfortable and supported as possible. I’m empathetic, non-judgmental, and I have a sense of humor.

If a crisis has brought you in, once it’s passed you may stay in therapy because you like to continue the process of self-exploration, examination, and growth. I like this part, too! I use an integrative therapeutic approach, blending theory and practical techniques, emphasizing strengths, and helping clients learn how to develop and apply those strengths in their daily lives. Together, we'll identify tools and strategies that you can implement that will lead to an improvement in your overall quality of life.

I work with adolescents and adults, primarily via telehealth, and specialize in addressing concerns related to parenting, interpersonal difficulties, phase of life issues, and academic and professional difficulties.
